IASO 2026 REGISTRATION RULES

REGISTRATION REQUIREMENT :

  • Participants are elementary and middle school students in grades 1-9 (based on calculations for the 2025/2026 academic year)
  • Participants are allowed to take part in the competition on behalf of individuals or on behalf of school representatives.
  • If participants take part in the competition as an Official School Representative, an E-Certificate is available for the Supervising Teacher.
  • PARTICIPANTS MUST HAVE A GMAIL EMAIL to take part in this competition.
  • This competition is individual.
  • Competition question options are available in Indonesian / English.

HOW TO REGISTER:

  1. Pay participant registration fees** to BCA account: "Contact the committee, Ms. Nonvi, email: iasoscienceolympiad@gmail.com to get the account number."
  2. (Don't forget to include "Name of participant - School of origin - Class" in the payment report)
  3. Fill in the following registration form: ONLINE FORM, prepare a photo of PROOF OF PAYMENT along with PARTICIPANT'S PHOTOGRAPH (Each File Max 1 MB) to get the participant's Registration Number, upload it via this ONLINE REGISTRATION FORM too. Set up the Participant's GMAIL email as well.
  4. Official applicants are considered valid as IASO 2024 Contest Participants after filling in the Online Registration Form completely and correctly and having received a reply from the committee (within 3 x 24 hours)
  5. Registered participants will receive the competition link and password via email approximately 3 days before the competition starts.

  • Peserta merupakan siswa/siswi SD, SMP kelas 1-9 (berdasarkan perhitungan tahun akademik 2025/2026) 
  • Peserta diperbolehkan mengikuti lomba atas nama individu ataupun atas nama perwakilan sekolah. 
  • Apabila peserta mengikuti lomba sebagai Perwakilan Resmi Sekolah, maka tersedia E-Sertifikat untuk Guru Pembimbing.
  • PESERTA WAJIB MEMILIKI EMAIL GMAIL untuk mengikuti Lomba ini.
  • Kompetisi ini bersifat perorangan.
  • Pilihan Soal lomba tersedia dalam Bahasa Indonesia / Bahasa Inggris.

    (Jangan lupa Cantumkan "Nama peserta - Asal sekolah - Kelas" dalam berita pembayaran)
  2. Isilah form registrasi berikut : FORM ONLINE, Siapkan foto BUKTI PEMBAYARAN beserta PASFOTO PESERTA (Tiap File Max 1 MB) untuk mendapatkan Nomer Registrasi peserta, upload melalui FORM REGISTRASI ONLINE ini juga. Siapkan email GMAIL Peserta juga.
  3. Pendaftar resmi dianggap sah sebagai Peserta Lomba IASO 2024 setelah mengisi Formulir Pendaftaran Online dengan lengkap dan benar dan telah mendapatkan balasan dari panitia (dalam 3 x 24 jam)  
  4. Peserta yang terdaftar akan menerima link lomba dan password via email kurang lebih H-3 sebelum lomba dimulai.

TIME, DATE & TECHNICAL RULES OF IASO 2026

COMPETITION
Day/Date: SATURDAY 24 JANUARY 2026
                         
Location: online from each participant's location: 
Question format: ONLINE test (60 minutes)
Questions language: in Indonesian / English
Question Form: Multiple Choice & short answer.


Competition time:
KUMA Level 10.00 - 11.00 WIB
PINGU A and B Levels 10.00 - 11.00 WIB

Technical Work:
  1. The test must be carried out using a laptop computer with a normally functioning camera and microphone. Make sure you are in a place with a fast and stable Internet connection. Any instability in the participant's internet network is beyond the control and responsibility of the committee.
  2. Participants take the test online from their respective locations (according to the schedule determined by the committee for the level category they are participating in). Don't enter the Participant  number & Unique Code that the committee has given you incorrectly.
  3. Use the GMAIL email that has been registered with the Committee to access the competition. The competition link will be sent to the participant's EMAIL, please do not click before the specified competition date and time.
  4. Please check your email and make sure it is not in the SPAM/Junk folder. Accessing the competition with the same participant number on more than 1 device will automatically be DISQUALIFIED.
  5. Kuma Category participants are ALLOWED TO USE CALCULATORS (not cellphones/apps), please prepare them before the test takes place. Pingu Category participants do not need to use a calculator.
  6. The test must be done independently without the help of other people and it is prohibited to open other programs on a laptop or cellphone during the competition,using AI and including taking screenshots so as not to be disqualified by the system. It is prohibited to open pages other than the question page.
  7. Please do not cover the laptop camera lens during the test, and participants are expected to wear neat, polite clothing and not talk during the test. Please work in a quiet, quiet place.
  8. The online test lasts 60 minutes. The competition link can only be accessed at the time specified per Level/Category, don't be late in entering.
  9. Only 1 chance to enter the question and SUBMIT ANSWER, immediately submit the answer before the time ends and get additional points. Those who are late SUBMIT will automatically be disqualified.
  10. Note that there are 2 scroll bars when working, namely the scroll bar near the question, and the scroll bar on the far right of the browser. Make the best use of both.This is to adjust the appearance in various browsers.

ATTENTION PLEASE FOR ALL PARTICIPANT!!!!

The following are several types of violations during the competition which can result in disqualification

(TRUST SCORE < 95%, automatically FALLS):

1. Not focusing on the laptop, faces are often not detected on the camera.

2. Open / switch other applications on the laptop.

3. Talk to other people (there is background sound) during the competition.

4. Being helped or even replaced by other people during the competition.

5. There are other people around the participants during the competition.

6. Seen using a cellphone during the competition.

Bentuk Soal : Pilihan Ganda dan jawaban uraian.


Waktu pelaksanan tes per Category :  
KUMA  Level     pk 10.00 - 11.00 WIB
PINGU A dan B Level    pk 10.00 - 11.00 WIB

Teknis Pengerjaan :
  1. Tes harap dikerjakan menggunakan Komputer Laptop berkamera dan microphone yg berfungsi normal. Pastikan  kamu berada di tempat yg Koneksi  Internetnya kencang dan stabil. Segala ketidakstabilan jaringan internet peserta di luar kuasa dan tanggung jawab panitia.
  2. Peserta mengerjakan tes secara online dari lokasi nya masing-masing (sesuai jadwal yang ditentukan panitia pada kategori level yang diikuti). Jangan sampai salah memasukkan nomer Peserta & Kode Unik yang telah diberikan panitia.
  3. Gunakan email GMAIL yang telah didaftarkan ke Panitia untuk mengakses lomba. Link lomba akan dikirim ke EMAIL Peserta, mohon tidak di klik sebelum tanggal dan jam lomba yg telah ditentukan.
  4. Mohon Cek Email dan pastikan tidak masuk folder SPAM/Junk. Mengakses lomba dengan ID peserta yg sama lebih dari 1 perangkat akan otomatis terDISKUALIFIKASI.
  5. Peserta Kuma Category DIPERBOLEHKAN MENGGUNAKAN KALKULATOR ( bukan hape/apps), harap dipersiapkan terlebih dahulu sebelum tes berlangsung. Untuk peserta Pingu Category tidak perlu menggunakan kalkulator.
  6. Tes harus dikerjakan secara mandiri tanpa bantuan orang lain dan dilarang membuka program lain di laptop maupun hape saat lomba berlangsung, dilarang menggunakan AI, maupun mengambil screen shot layar agar tidak terdiskualifikasi oleh sistem. Dilarang membuka halaman lain selain halaman soal.
  7. Harap Lensa Kamera Laptop tidak ditutup saat tes berlangsung, dan Peserta diharap menggunakan pakaian yang rapi, sopan dan tidak berbicara saat tes berlangsung. Harap mengerjakan di tempat yg tenang, dan hening.
  8. Tes online berlangsung secara 60 menit. Link lomba hanya bisa diakses pada waktu yang telah ditentukan per Level/Category, Jangan sampai Terlambat masuk.
  9. Kesempatan Masuk SOAL dan SUBMIT JAWABAN hanya 1x, segera Submit jawaban sebelum waktu berakhir dan dapatkan poin tambahan. Bagi yg terlambat SUBMIT otomatis gugur.
  10. Perhatikan bahwa ada 2 scroll bar pada saat mengerjakan yaitu scroll bar di dekat soal, dan scroll bar di paling kanan browser. Pergunakan keduanya sebaik-baiknya.
    Hal ini demi menyesuaikan tampilan di berbagai browser.

    Selamat mengerjakan dan jangan lupa berdoa sebelum lomba.

WAJIB DIPERHATIKAN  SEMUA PESERTA!!!!



Berikut adalah beberapa jenis Pelanggaran pada saat Lomba yg bisa berakibat diskualifikasi
(TRUST SCORE < 95% , otomatis GUGUR) :
1. Tidak fokus ke laptop, wajah sering tidak terdeteksi di kamera.
2. Membuka  / berpindah aplikasi lain di laptop.
3. Berbicara dengan orang lain (ada background suara) saat lomba berlangsung. 
4. Dibantu atau bahkan digantikan orang lain saat lomba. 
5. Ada org lain di sekitar peserta saat lomba berlangsung.
6. Terlihat menggunakan handphone saat lomba berlangsung.

ABOUT IASO

IASO (International Applied Science Olympiad) is an applied science competition with international level challenge questions.

In the current era of Global Competition, mastery of being at the forefront in the field of Applied Science is absolutely necessary, especially in the world of engineering and medicine. To become a developed country, a great nation and even a world leader, a country needs a lot of human resources who are experts in being the best in all fields, especially human resources who master applied science and are the best in their respective fields.

With the existence of IASO, we hope that Indonesian students will be able to compete and have abilities that are at the same level or even better than international students, especially from developed countries. In competition in this era of globalization, Indonesian students are required not only to be smart but also to be smart and have a high competitive spirit.

We hope that with the existence of IASO, the potential of Indonesian students will be better honed in the field of Applied Science, increasingly having the ability and mastery of the extraordinary rapid progress of science development in today's world.

Our hope is that this nation's generation will be able to become the best experts and experts in the world who can apply all the skills they have for humanity and of course also to build this nation into a great nation and at the forefront of mastering technology in the world. This dream is what we all hope for with the presence of IASO in Indonesia.

IASO (International Applied Science Olympiad) adalah kompetisi ilmu sains terapan dengan level tantangan soal – soal bertaraf Internasional.

Pada era Global Competition seperti saat ini, penguasaan menjadi yang terdepan dalam bidang ilmu Sains Terapan sangat dibutuhkan secara mutlak, terutama dalam dunia engineering dan medical. Untuk dapat menjadi negara yang maju, bangsa yang besar dan bahkan pemimpin dunia, suatu negara membutuhkan banyak SDM yang ahli menjadi yang terbaik dalam segala bidang, terutama SDM-SDM yang menguasai Sains Terapan dan menjadi yang terbaik di bidangnya masing masing. 

Dengan adanya IASO ini kami berharap pelajar Indonesia mampu berkompetisi dan bisa memiliki kemampuan yang selevel atau bahkan lebih baik dibandingkan dengan para pelajar International terutama dari negara-negara maju. Dalam persaingan di era globalisasi ini, pelajar Indonesia dituntut tidak hanya pintar namun juga harus cerdas dan memiliki semangat kompetisi yang tinggi.

Kami berharap dengan adanya IASO ini, potensi pelajar Indonesia akan terasah menjadi lebih baik dalam bidang Sains Terapan, semakin memiliki kemampuan juga penguasaan terhadap kemajuan perkembangan Sains yang luar biasa cepat di dunia dewasa ini. 

Harapan kami tentunya generasi bangsa ini mampu menjadi para ahli dan para pakar terbaik di dunia yang dapat menerapkan semua keahlian yang dimilikinya untuk kemanusiaan dan tentunya juga untuk membangun bangsa ini menjadi bangsa yang besar dan terdepan dalam penguasaan teknologi di Dunia. Mimpi inilah yang menjadi harapan kita semua dengan hadirnya IASO di Indonesia.

WHY YOU MUST LEARN APPLIED SCIENCE

Applied Science is the use of existing scientific knowledge as a means to achieve practical results or certain benefits that are useful for human life. In the form of practical purposes in special uses/applications, such as in the fields of technology and discovery.

In Natural Sciences, this scientific discipline is a basic science for developing various information so that it can explain and enable humans to predict certain natural phenomena that have occurred, are currently occurring and will occur. Applied Science covers a wide range of fields, including various branches of engineering disciplines as well as medicine. Applied science can also apply formal science, such as statistics and probability theory, for example in the branch of epidemiology. As an illustration, genetic epidemiology is an applied science that applies various biological and statistical methods simultaneously.

Indonesia, with its extraordinary abundance of natural wealth, is of course directly proportional to the need for human resources who are able to master applied science disciplines. Unfortunately, this great need is not met by providing quality human resources in sufficient numbers. On the other hand, opportunities are wide open, especially in the maritime sector, where Indonesia is the country with the largest maritime area in the world but has not been able to prove itself as the largest maritime country in the world.

This is what encouraged us to make changes from an early age, inviting students and the younger generation from an early age to study Applied Science, even to be able to master it well as early as possible. We also hold Applied Science competitions with international level questions to stimulate the competitive spirit of the younger generation so that they can have a level equal to or even higher than students in developed countries. That's why we present this IASO challenge for students in Indonesia. Hopefully, with this event, we hope that in the future many experts and Applied Science experts will emerge from Indonesia to build this nation into an advanced nation and a great nation.

Applied Science (Ilmu Sains Terapan) adalah penggunaan pengetahuan ilmiah yang ada sebagai sarana untuk mencapai hasil praktis atau manfaat tertentu yang berguna bagi kehidupan manusia. Berupa tujuan praktis dalam penggunaan / aplikasi khusus, seperti dalam bidang teknologi dan penemuan. 

Dalam Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam, disiplin ilmu ini merupakan ilmu dasar untuk mengembangkan berbagai informasi sehingga dapat menjelaskan dan memungkinkan manusia untuk memprediksi fenomena fenomena alam tertentu yang sudah, sedang dan akan terjadi. Applied Science mencakup berbagai bidang, termasuk berbagai cabang disiplin ilmu teknik dan juga kedokteran. Sains terapan juga dapat menerapkan ilmu formal, seperti statistika dan teori probabilitas, contohnya seperti dalam cabang ilmu epidemilogi. Sebagai gambaran Epidemilogi genetic adalah ilmu terapan yang menerapkan berbagai metode biologi dan statistik secara bersamaan.

Indonesia dengan kekayaan alam yang luar biasa melimpah tentunya berbanding lurus dengan kebutuhan SDM yang mampu menguasai disiplin ilmu Sains Terapan. Sayangnya kebutuhan yang besar ini tidak terpenuhi dengan pemenuhan SDM yang berkualitas dalam jumlah yang cukup. Sebaliknya peluang sangat terbuka lebar, terutama dalam bidang kelautan, dimana Indonesia sebagai negara dengan wilayah laut terbesar didunia namun belum dapat membuktikan diri sebagai negara Maritim terbesar di dunia.

Hal inilah yang mendorong kami untuk melakukan perubahan sejak dini, mengajak pelajar dan generasi muda semenjak dini untuk mempelajari ilmu Sains Terapan, bahkan untuk bisa menguasainya dengan baik sedini mungkin. Kami juga mengadakan kompetisi Sains Terapan dengan level soal soal yang bertaraf Internasional untuk memicu semangat kompetisi generasi muda agar dapat memiliki level yang setara atau bahkan lebih dari pelajar di negara – negara maju. Untuk itulah kami menghadirkan tantangan IASO ini bagi para pelajar di Indonesia. Semoga dengan event ini kami harapkan dikemudian hari akan muncul banyak pakar-pakar dan ahli Sains Terapan dari Indonesia untuk membangun bangsa ini menjadi bangsa yang maju dan bangsa yang besar.

Not only for participating students, we also give awards:

*) "BEST TEACHER AWARDS" for Supervising Teachers whose students get the most medal points as an appreciation for the hard work of Supervising Teachers in honing their students' abilities.
Currently, it is still very rare for competitions to dare to give special awards to school teachers.

*) All decisions and assessments from the judges are absolute and cannot be contested for any reason.

IASO BEST TEACHER AWARDS

We will give the Best Teacher Award as a form of appreciation to the Supervisor Teacher who has successfully guided his/her students to achieve achievements in the IASO event. 
[ **specifically for teachers with collective school registration]

The supervisor teacher will receive an award based on the accumulation of points obtained by his/her students and the medals obtained by his/her students.


Point Teacher Award System:
Champions +7 points
Gold Medal +5 points
Silver Medal +4 points
Bronze Medal +3 points

Merit Award +1 point

Calculation example:
Supervising Teacher X had 10 students take part in the competition with the following results:


A Gold (5 points)
B -
C Silver (4 points)
D-
E Silver (4 points)
F Merit (1 point)
G Merit (1 point)
H Bronze (3 points)
I -
J Champion (7 points)
Total Points = 25 points

If there are 2 or more Supervisors who have the same points, then the order will be determined based on the following parameters: 'highest achievement, number of supervising students who get medals, total number of supervising students'.

Points collected by Supervisors are only valid in the same category. If there are points collected in more than 1 category, then points will only be taken based on the calculation of the most points in one category only.
